He was born in Los Angeles, CA on March 21, 1956 and graduated from Plain Dealing High School in 1975.
Jimmy was married on June 30, 1979 to his loving wife and soul mate, Malisa (Lisa) Chamberlain Dibler. They went on to enjoy 40 years of marriage.
He worked as a truck driver and diesel mechanic. He never met a stranger. And though it was always out of love, we all knew him, and teased with him, as he could be such: The Agitator and The Instigator. No one was exempt for being "messed with".
Jimmy was a retired volunteer Captain of Bossier Parish Fire District 1, (East 80) Haughton, LA for over 23 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working and spending time with family and friends. Most importantly, he was a faithful and adoring husband; a loving and proud father; and a devoted grandfather.
He is preceded in death by: father, Charles Asbury Dibler; mother, Josephine Janette Strickland Dibler; and two brothers, Charles Victor Dibler and Terry Asbury Dibler.
Mr. Dibler is survived by: his loving wife, Malisa Chamberlain Dibler; son, Ryan Shea Dibler; daughter, Ashley Lea Faulk; grandchildren: Robin Shea Dibler and Kayleigh Elizabeth Faulk; sister, Elizabeth Dianne Merriman (and husband Doug); brother, John Herschel Dibler; brother-in-law, Mark Avery Chamberlain (and wife Rosemary); and numerous nieces, nephews and other family.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Open Road Fellowship Church, 780 Bodcau Station Rd, Haughton, LA, with Pastor Raymond Wilkinson presiding. The Visitation will be held just prior, between the hours of 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM. Interment will follow within Hill Crest Cemetery, Haughton, LA.
Serving as Pallbearers: Honor Guard of Bossier Parish Fire Dist. 1, along with Honary Pallbearers, Mark Stephenson and Randy Burnett.
We, the family, would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to the wonderful staff at Willis Knighton Medical Center, Bossier, the Emergency room staff, the Critical Care doctors, and the nurses, that each gave such amazing care and support to my husband, James and to our entire family.
Our lives have been forever touched by everyone who cared for James and our family, during some of the most difficult times of our lives.
