James R. Noblin

Jim was born in Durham, North Carolina on May 16, 1948 to the late Wilfred Wood Noblin and Margaret Ann Knight Noblin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Ann Noblin Owensby, parents-in-law Selwyn S. (Brig) and Colleen Carroll Kilgore, brother-in-law Carroll Kilgore and numerous family dogs whom he loved like family.

Jim honorably served his country in the United States Air Force for 7 years, serving during the Vietnam war. After his years of service, he attended Louisiana Tech University where he met his beloved wife of 33 years, Nancy Kilgore Noblin.

In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his three beloved daughters Jennifer Leigh Noblin, Lauren Anne Noblin and Leslie Elizabeth Noblin, as well as by Leslie’s fiancée Zachary Gann, his sister Jean Elizabeth Noblin, brother-in-law Tim Owensby, brother- and sister-in-law Mark and Marty Kilgore, sister-in-law Laura Kilgore, nephews Phillip Kilgore and Parks Owensby, and nieces Caitlin Harvey and Anna Wilson, as well as his canine grandchildren Rudy, Oliver and Roger.

A come and go memorial to celebrate Jim’s life will be held Saturday, November 15 from 1p-4p in Deer Park, TX.
