He was born in McKeesport, PA. on December 30, 1946 to Anthony Reccelli and Anna Hemminger. He graduated from McKeeport Vocational High School in 1964 and then went on to serve 2 years in the Naval Reserves, on the USS Steinaker as a fire control technician during the Vietnam War. He then obtained a degree in Engineering at the University of Pittsburg. After college, he went to work for Westinghouse & Hewlett Packard in Pittsburg, PA. When he moved to Shreveport, LA,in the early 1980’s, he started a manufacturing company, Applied Technical Systems, with his friend Richard Davis. He was also a member of The American Legion Post 14.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Reccelli and Anna Hemminger, brother, Daniel Reccelli of Greensburg, PA.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kathy Metzger Reccelli; sister, Beverly Bauchman of White Oak, PA.; daughters, Angela Strickland and husband Joe of Martin, LA, Diana Crawford and husband Brian of Bossier, LA, Dana Mattison and husband Randy of Shreveport, LA; his pride and joy’s (grandchildren), Brandi Strickland Babin and husband Shawn of Baton Rouge, LA., Brooke Strickland of Baton Rouge, LA., Caleb Crawford of Ruston, LA., Jessica Mattison of Shreveport, LA. and Brianna Ardwin of Elysian Fields, TX.; loyal friend and business partner, Richard Davis.
A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Mr. Reccelli’s life at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Rick Foster officiating. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm until service time.
The family would like to thank, Dr. Joyce Feagin, the entire staff of the Willis-Knighton Cancer Center and St. Joseph Hospice.
