Jim Sorenson, 90, went to live with Jesus March 27, 2022. He served in the United States Air Force for 20 years. He loved his country and was proud to be an American. He showed compassion to those in need and often fed the homeless and helped wherever needed. He worked for Pitney Bowes 20 years also and enjoyed working with customers and troubleshooting their equipment.
In retirement he could often be found writing his manuscripts about Christian Ethics. His love for Jesus and his family was the light and joy of his life. He will be greatly missed by all.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of nearly 69 years, Kathleen Sorenson; daughters Sally Ann Sorenson Hover and Laura Lucille Sorenson Donahue; grandchildren Heather Elaine West, Joshua David Hover, Jonathan Harper, and Kristopher Harper; and great-grandchildren Ryan, Austin and Ashley West, Taylor and Liam Hover, and Kin Harper.
Services for Mr. Sorenson will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Airline Dr. beginning at 2:00 pm, visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Interment will follow service at Hill Crest Memorial Park in Haughton, Louisiana.
