

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leeman Ephram Vice and Maudie Coffin as well as his sister, Shirley Coffin and grandson, Matthew Vice. He has three surviving children, DeAnna Hoffman and husband John Paul Hoffman, Douglas Vice and John Vice. He had six grandchildren, Christine and husband John Thomas, Michael Geisler, Randi Strasky, Kevin Vice, Jonathon Hoffman and Logan Hoffman. He has three great-grandchildren; Jake Nelson, Abbie Thomas and Noah Strasky. James also has two surviving siblings, Doris and Robert Watson and Billy and Kitty Vice.
Officiating the service will be Denver Clark, Jr. Pallbearers will be John Paul Hoffman, Richard Watson, Raymond Watson, Michael Geisler, Jonathon Hoffman and Randall Moore.
Visitation will be on Sunday, March 3rd at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton, LA from 5-7pm. Funeral services are on Monday, March 4th at 2:00 p.m. at Northwest LA Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, LA.

SOUTH ON I-49 FROM SHREVEPORT exit on LA 3132 (Inner Loop Expressway) and bear right (WEST toward Dallas) then continue to Walker Road exit; turn left and go to end of Walker Road at intersection with Colquitt Road (LA 525); turn right and go about 13 miles to 4-way stop at intersection of LA 169 in Spring Ridge; turn left and go 1 mile to intersection of LA 789; bear left on LA 789 and continue for about 2 ½ miles to white chuch on right at intersection of Mike Clark Road; turn right into Eddie D. Jones Nature Park on Mike Clark Road and go about ½ mile; Northwest LA Veterans Cemetery is on the right.
WEST ON I-20 FROM SHREVEPORT take Exit 8 (Bert Kouns Industrial Loop/LA 526); go south on Bert Kouns to traffic signal at intersection of Woolworth Road (fire station); turn right and continue to end of road at intersection of LA 525/Colquitt Road; turn right and continue to 4-way stop at intersection of LA 169 in Spring Ridge; turn left and go 1 mile to intersection of LA 789; bear left on LA 789 and continue for about 2 ½ miles. Look for sign to Northwest LA Veterans Cemetery.
