Jana Long Soto

Jana graduated from Bossier High School and the nursing program at LSU-Shreveport. She worked at several nursing homes throughout the Shreveport-Bossier community where she had a deep love for her patients. Jana also loved to cook, spend time with her grandchildren, watch LSU football, and hunt. When it came to snacking, she was a connoisseur of chips and salsa! She was a loving daughter, mother, "Nonnie", sister, aunt and friend. "Purple flowers for Nonnie, purple butterflies for Nonnie."

Jana joins in Heaven her paternal grandparents: Mary and John Long and maternal grandparents: Aetna and Clyde McDougald.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Christopher Soto (Laci); grandchildren: Ayden Burford, Everly Soto and Banks Soto; her parents: Linda and Edward Long; her sister, Krista Wilburn (Mark); her brothers: Brandon Long (Ann) and Darren Long (Shana); her niece, Landry Long; and her nephews: Peyton Long and Zachary Wilburn.

A visitation for Jana will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 2:00 PM until time of her Celebration at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 601 Hwy 80, Haughton, Louisiana 71037.

Immediately following Chapel services, Jana will be laid to rest on the grounds of Hill Crest Memorial Park, 601 Hwy 80, Haughton, Louisiana 71037.

Memorials in Jana’s honor may be made to the charity of your choice.
