J.D. "Dee" Junior Bogues

Dee joins in Heaven his maternal grandparents, Andrew Clyde Mathes and Mary Louise Barlow Mathes; paternal grandparents, JD Coyle Bogues and R.V. Lois Sanders Bogues; and step-mother Martha Elaine Hunter Pennington Bogues.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 13 years, Colby Gray Bogues; sons Heath Gabriel Bogues and Andrew Cole Bogues; daughter, Marley Grace Bogues; father, JD Junior Bogues; mother, Alice Laverne Mathes; sister, Laura Kay Bogues Monroe (William Eddie Robertson); step-brother, Heath Pennington (Michelle); step-sister, Amanda Pennington Parker; sister in law, Carrie Gray Vaughn (Michael); mother and father in law, Gail and Ricky Gray; nieces Abbey Michelle Archer (Tatum Burroughs), Brooke Lindsey Archer Thomas (Caid Thomas), Emily Elaine Trivitt (Jonas Branch) and Anastasia Vaughn; nephews Michael Allen Archer (Emily Dominie), David Vaughn, Dominic Vaughn, Christopher Pennington, Michael Pennington (Stephanie), Casen Pennington and Jacob Hamiter; an one great-niece, Ava Mae Archer.

You could say Dee loved everything about the outdoors including fishing, hunting, motorcycles, racing dirt bikes, riding four-wheelers and going to his children's ball-games. Dee always had music playing and listened to all genres. Dee was also known for his love of cooking. He loved cooking and the children loved what he cooked! He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 17 at 2pm at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 601 Highway 80 E, Haughton, Louisiana 71037, with Brother Doug Gregg. Visitation will be held prior to services on Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 5pm until 7pm at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow services on April 17, 2023.

Honoring Dee as pallbearers will be Clint Smith, Barry Knotts, Travis Lange, Shawn Barton, Brian Meeker, and Jonas Branch.
