Jerry O. Shamburger

SHREVEPORT, LA – Services to honor the life of Jerry O. Shamburger, 75, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 5, 2016, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jerry was born on January 26, 1941, in Bokhoma, OK and passed away on November 1, 2016. He left this life peacefully, at his home, surrounded by his family. Jerry was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a mechanic by trade. For years he owned and operated a local Amaco Station and serviced vehicles in the Shreveport area. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed.

Jerry is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra; and parents, Albert M. and Eunice Dreher Shamburger. Left to cherish his memory is his son, Dwayne Shamburger and wife Suzy, along with their children, Joshua Shamburger, Johnathon and Justin Long; daughter, Debbie Harris and husband John, along with their children, James, David, and Bryan; his sister, Sue Brannon; and numerous great-grandchildren, including his great-grandson and best friend, Ashton Shamburger.

Honoring Mr. Shamburger as pallbearers are Justin Long, Dwayne Shamburger, John Harris, James Harris, David Harris, and Johnathon Long.
