Jimmie Lee McIntyre

SHREVEPORT, LA – Services for Jimmie Lee McIntyre, 72, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Francis Kamau and Father Thomas John Vadakemuriyil officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home.

He was married to Sarah Elizabeth McIntyre on February 29, 1964. Jimmie worked in insurance adjusting and owned his own business, McIntyre Insurance Adjusting. His current occupation was working in the trucking industry for ACME Truck Line. He was a veteran of the Navy. He had a passion for dirt track racing and built and owned his own dirt track car.

He is preceded in death by his father, William McIntyre; mother, Letha McIntyre; brothers, Bert, Eugene and Jerry McIntyre; sister, Heniretta Litton; grandson, Forrest Gauthier.

Jimmie is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sarah; Son, Steven McIntyre and wife Denise; daughters, Stacey McIntyre Gauthier, Sandra McIntyre Brown and husband Gary; grandchildren, Chelsea McIntyre, Shelbi Hernandez, Cody McIntyre, Cameron McIntyre, Colin McIntyre, Morgan Brown, Casey Rachal, Tiffany Brown, Landon Nolen, Fara Hernandez, Laykin McIntyre, and Skylar McIntyre; brother, Johnny McIntyre and wife Ginger; sisters, Wille Mae Wood and Mary Elizabeth Ryan.

He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
