A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Mrs. Jimmie L. Moses on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. Rev. Ky Faciane Associate Pastor of First Baptist Bossier will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Beauregard Memorial Cemetery at 3:30 PM in DeRidder, La.

Jimmie was an avid bowler and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and most recently great granddaughter. She not only enjoyed the time spent with her own grandchildren, but she adopted and became “Granny” to several families surrounding the area who were displaced from their families due to military or other relocation efforts.

She is survived by her husband Wilmer H. Moses, children, Theresa A. Miller and husband Christopher of Elm Grove, LA, Randy L. Moses and wife Misty of Haughton, LA and Yvette M. Chapman and husband Marshall of Grapevine, TX. She is also survived by her sister, Susan Price Shirley and husband Charles Ray Shirley of Austin, TX, one niece, Shandalin Shirley Mulig and her husband Jason Mulig of Austin, TX, one nephew Shane Shirley and wife Ashly of Reeves, LA, grandchildren, Keith Bodie and wife Kristina, Brittany M. Bodie, Tyler C. Miller, Randi Lea Moses, Andrew Chapman and Thomas James Chapman and great granddaughter, Alyssa Payton Tyra and three great nieces and one great nephew.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the charity of choice.

The family would like to express a sincere thanks and appreciation to the Staff of Life Care Hospital and the physicians with Willis Knighton Health Care System.
