Joan Elizabeth Farley

Born June 26, 1954, Ringgold, LA, to J.C. Peevy and Odelle Hall Peevy.

She worked as a CNA and caregiver for most of her life. At around 40, she took a sharp turn and became an over the road truck driver with her husband.

Surviving family, her husband of nearly fifty years, Johnny Farley, her children Tammy Sullivan Strayhan and Johnny Michael Farley. Her grandchildren, Elizabeth Danyelle Sullivan, J. C. Strayhan, Johnny Liam Farley, Felicity Grace Farley and Wyatt Tucker Farley. Great grandchildren, Alex and Sammy Small. Nieces, Patricia Ta, Shelly Owens, Cecilia Peevy, nephews, Edward Griffith and Christopher Peevy.

Preceded in death by her parents, J. C. Peevy and Odelle Peevy. Her daughter Angela Sullivan. Her sister, Elagene Peevy and brother, Terry Peevy.

Joan was very active with her church family, Linwood worship & teaching center. She was passionate about rescuing stray animals and adored spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Celebration of life service will be Sunday 15, 2026 at 4pm at Linwood worship & teaching center, 1622 Midway St. Shreveport, LA 71108.
