John Thomas Burt

A celebration of life service for John Thomas Burt will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Mike Brady, Bossier City First Church of God, will be officiating the service. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, June 15, 2012 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel from noon until time of service. Entombment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Mausoleum.

He attended Bossier City First Church of God. John was an avid outdoorsman. He loved motorcycle riding, four-wheeling, and spending time with his family.

John was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Burt of Vivian, LA, special dad, Jimmy Ray Whitworth of Benton, LA and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John J. Burt of Vivian, LA.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Burt, sons, Phillip Andrew Burt, John T. Burt, Jr., Trystann Burt, Jonah Burt and Alex Thompkins, daughter, Leigh Dodson, mother, Marie Whitworth, brothers, Henri Burt and Shawn “Killer” Nanninga.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Andrew Burt, John T. Burt, Jr. William Kelly, Dan Block, Raul Zamora and Randy Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Jones and Shawn “Killer” Nanninga.

Memorials may be made in John’s honor to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
