

BOSSIER CITY – Funeral services for John J. Kramer will be held at Hill Crest Funeral Home on Thursday, August 2, 2012, at 9:30 a.m. Father Charles Glorioso will officiate. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born Kaukauna, Wisconsin, Dad served his country during WWII as a gunner and radio operator on a B-24 aircrew in the 8th Air Force in the European Theater. He was active in the Berlin Airlift and retired after 20 years of service. He then retired after 20 years of service with the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier.
A member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Dad was an avid sports fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Cubs. He will always be remembered as a cherished father who was active in his children’s sporting activities and in their lives.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Pricilla Kramer.
His children, Kenneth and Tina Kramer, Keith Kramer, Brian Kramer, Dr. Perry Hill and Kathryn Kramer; grandchildren, Kingsleigh and Killiane Kramer and Tyler Tarver; and sister, Jean Smith, all survive John.
Honoring John as pallbearers will be the Air Force Military Honor Guard. The Retired Postal Breakfast Group will serve as honorary pallbearers.
