Kathleen Coursey was born on January 6, 1930 in Cincinnati, OH and passed away in Bossier City, LA on August 9, 2021. Mrs. Coursey was a Life Member and past State President of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her first husband, John O. Taylor; her second husband, Jack Coursey; granddaughter, Melissa Lee Taylor; and son-in-law, Robert Smith.
She is survived by her sister, Delores Back of Cincinnati, OH; and six children, David (Cindy) Taylor of Shreveport, LA, Mark (Cherri) Taylor of Houston, TX, Karen (Steve) Carlsrud of Keithville, LA, Gregory M. Taylor of Marshall, TX, Linda Ritchie of Bossier City, LA, and Sandra Smith of Hooks, TX; as well as seventeen grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Coursey will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, officiated by Bro. Matthew Butler. She will be buried next to Jack Coursey at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home.
