Kathleen Maria Reuter

BOSSIER CITY, LA – A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Kathleen Maria Reuter, 89, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Christ Lutheran Church, 290 Idema St. in Shreveport, with Rev. Perry Culver officiating. A Graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Park prior to the memorial service.

Kathleen was beloved by her church and family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She spent her life volunteering for many organizations and causes. She was a “Gray Lady” at the hospitals in Goose Bay, Labrador as well as Schumpert in Shreveport. Kathleen was a bowling coach, a den mother and was known for her rhubarb and apple pies.

She was preceded in death by her husband Earl, parents, her baby brother John, her loving grandparents and her Uncle Albert. Kathleen is survived by her sons Earl Reuter, Jr and wife Lu of Denver, CO and Richard Reuter and wife Katherine of Shreveport, LA, sister Nancy Thorn and husband Dale of Pomeroy, OH, grandchildren Michael Kyle Reuter and Justin Lee Reuter and great grandchildren Lea, Finn and Miles Barrett.

Pallbearers will be Michael Reuter, Mac McKinley, Earl Reuter, Jr., Norman Riggs, Richard Reuter, Chester Wroten. Honorary pallbearers will be J.C. Barnett and Kenny Walker.
