

Funeral services for Kathleen F. Stoddard, 61, of Benton, Louisiana will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton, Louisiana. Visitation will begin on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home. The family will be there until 9:00 p.m. to greet relatives and friends.
Mrs. Stoddard went to be with her heavenly Father Saturday, July 21, 2012. She was born April 12, 1951 to John and Patricia Finnerty in Biloxi, MS. She attended Airline High School in Bossier City and was a graduate of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA. She worked at Red River Chevrolet for 41 years and was the Variable Administrator. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and was unrelenting in her faith in God.
Kathleen was very passionate about many things, but nothing compared to her grandchildren. She loved to be at the deer camp with her family, even if it was to just sit in the deer stand with her grandchildren so she could spend time with them. She loved to take her grandchildren shopping and even loved a good Nascar race. Kathleen was a loving, generous and loyal woman. She was a wife, a sister, a mother, a grandmother and a friend. Her memory will always be cherished and never forgotten.
Kathleen was a member of EWI – Shreveport Bossier Chapter for 15 years, where over the years she served on the Board of Directors for 11 years. She was the President on the Board of Directors in 2002 and in 2009. She was a leader and mentor to many women in this organization who had the privilege of knowing and serving with her.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, John and Patricia Finnerty and her brother, Timothy Finnerty. She is survived by her loving and caring husband of 22 years, Charles Stoddard, Jr; two brothers, John Finnerty and Michael Finnerty; two sons, James LaCombe and Jason LaCombe and his wife Amanda; two daughters, Tonia Ellis and Deanna Green and her husband David. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren; Brittney Green, Christa File, Lauryn LaCombe, Bryson LaCombe, Jordan Green and Colton LaCombe and her great-grandson, Brysten Layfield.
Pallbearers will be David Peters, Bill Lang, Roy Coleman, Mike Roach, Lance Collins, and Chris Finnerty.
