A Memorial Service will be held for Lawrence Peka on Monday, April 19, 2010 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel at 11:00 AM.
Msgr.Earl Provenza of Holy Trinity Catholic Church will be officating the service. Interment will be held at Fort Snelling
National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Larry was a retired corrections officer with the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections, Division of Probation and Parole and also retired from the United States Air Force in 1978 as a Master Sargeant.
He is survived by his mother Virginia Peka, son, Curtis Peka and wife Elizabeth, daughter Gwendolyn Peka Smith and husband Jerry, son Gavin D. Peka and wife Juanita. He is also survived by brother, Dennis Peka and wife Joanie; sister, Beverly Gudmundsson and husband Joe, six grandchildren, Naomi, Zachary, Tia, Abigayle, Samuel and Harley, three great grandchildren; Lindsey, Adrianna and Isiah,Godson John Morgan and Mother of his children, Carolyn Getting.
