Really sad to see that Laymon had passed away. I went to high school with him back in bell county Kentucky and we played music together as well. Rest in peace old friend.

To the Sasser Family,  I am deeply saddened to learn of your loss. MSgt. Sasser or as I knew him as Big Sass, was one of the first people to physically greet and welcome me to Barksdale AFB.  He continued to keep track of my training for I was one of the first of a few guys coming from the Army to the Air Force.  He could see that as a seasoned  Army NCO I was having trouble converting to the Air Force NCO way of doing things, he had a famouse quote with a laugh saying "you cant do that in the Air Force."  He had always had great advice for my career going forward.  He also took time to have a lot of laughs when we would go to to lunch to the small Mexican restaurant called Monterays outside of the gate.  He and I unfortunately lost touch over the years after I left Barksdale but his memories stayed and continue to stay with me.  Sass was a great man and I am sure he is working diligently in Heavens Training Room.

Praying the Lord will comfort you with His peace surround you with His Love and encourage you with His presence.

Deepest sympathy and condolences to the Sasser family. Mr Sasser was awesome to be around and always positive. I only have good memories of Sass with his lighthearted jokes and willingness to always help someone out. He was my training manager at Barksdale and will be sorely missed.

So sorry for your loss. I have had the pleasure to have known Sass for 25 years. Deploy with him and worked along side of him. He was taken away to early and he wii be greatly missed. But remembered by many. Miss ya Sass.

To the family of Mr. Sasser,

     I have gotten to know Mr. Sass well over the past few years while stationed at Barksdale.  He was a great guy and always knew how to turn a negative into a positive.  I'm glad I  got the privilege to work with him.

I don’t know exactly where too start or what too say. Sass, you were one of the first people I became friends with when I first got to Barksdale in 2003. We worked together, we were good friends, you gave me lots of good advice, and a fellow “Hillbilly”.  I’ll miss you buddy! Until we meet again Brother!! My thoughts and prayers are with your family in this difficult time😔🙏🏻

I have work with Mr Sasser for about 7 year and if I say anything about him it will be about his passion. He cares so much about all of us even more the we do . I can still hear him call me about one of the airmen having to pretest. We will greatly miss Mr Sasser and all the lessons he has taught us at Barksdale AFB. I am sorry for you loss.
