Linda Gayle Higgins Free, age 71, of Keithville, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023. She was born on Monday, March 23, 1952, to the late Claude Higgins Jr. and Evelyn Pauline Bryant Higgins. Linda looked forward to transporting all of her passengers with continued love through her working career as a School Bus Driver with the Caddo Parish School System. She was extremely crafty, had a gift for sewing, and enjoyed crocheting in her spare time. Linda loved spending time outdoors appreciating God's beautiful art, gardening and spending time on a relaxing body of water with her cork bobbing. She never took for granted time spent with family and friends. Linda never got enough of spending time with her great-grandson Kolby. She would love turning up to some Conway Twitty while cleaning, dancing around and simply relaxing. Linda will be greatly missed by all of us for so many lives she has touched.
Linda was preceded in passing by her parents, the love of her life Michael Ray Free Sr., and two sisters: Carolyn Higgins, and Shirley Sollers.
Left to cherish Linda's beautiful memories are her two loving children: daughter, Tamatha Free, and son, Michael Ray Free Jr.; two sisters: Betty Bice and husband David, Melba Wise and husband Lee; three brothers: Steven Higgins, Larry Higgins, Tracy Higgins; one granddaughter, Brittany Free; one great-grandson, Kolby Free; along with many extended family members and numerous wonderful friends.
