Linda Louise Robinson

Linda, a very special lady, was born on Easter Sunday, April 1st, 1945. She would often joke that her birthday would only be counted if Easter fell on April 1st. Since that has only happened once since she was born, that would make her 2 instead of 72. She said that even if you only counted the times April 1st fell on a Sunday, she would be just 11.

Following graduation from Airline High School, Linda worked for a men’s retail clothing store in Shreveport and then, following in her Father’s footsteps, became an investor in the Oil & Gas Business. But, she will be best remembered for her work in her beloved Airline Baptist Church. She loved the Church and especially working with the children. She was an ardent fan of the “Young at Heart Luncheons” held at the church each month and was a faithful member of Bill Nichols Sunday School Class. Until illness confined her to home, you would always find Linda in her favorite pew on Sunday Morning.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Roy R. Robinson and Daisye Jones Robinson. She is survived by her Brother, Robert R. Robinson and Wife JoAnna of Bossier City, Nephew Mark Thomas Robinson of Bossier City, Nephew Robert Roy Robinson and Wife Sherry of Dallas Texas, Great Nieces Rachel Robinson, Haley Robinson, Claire Robinson and Great Nephew Robert Robinson and numerous cousins.

Services for Linda will be held at Airline Baptist Church, 4007 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana on Thursday, July 6th. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM followed by a service celebrating her life conducted by Harrell Shelton, a longtime friend and Associate Pastor /Church Administrator. Interment will be held at Hill Crest Cemetery following the service.

Her family especially thanks her principal care giver and dear friend Cathy Pate. As many believe, there are Angels on the other side who help people across the divide between here and heaven. And, some of us know that there are Angels here on this side who help those who pass over. Cathy Pate is one of those Angels. In addition, the family wants to recognize her other caregivers – Debra Underwood, Dorothy Boulware, Donna Kelly and Juanita Beavers. Thank you all for your faithful service and loving care.

Pallbearers will be: Robert Robinson, Mark Robinson, Robert Ranen Robinson, John Robinson, Kyle Robinson, Jerry Heard, & Holly Hollenshead. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jeff Hicks, Justin Hicks, John Robinson, Debbie Preston & Mack Robinson.

Flowers will be accepted but you may make contributions to Airline Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
