Services celebrating the life of Mrs. Hicks will be held in Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, in the Chapel on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 11:00 am, with Bro. Dana Casey, presiding. Visitation for the family and friends will take place prior between 10 – 11 am, also in the Chapel. Interment will take place after the funeral in Hill Crest Memorial Park.
Lois was born December 22, 1945, in Sparkman Arkansas.
Lois loved to work crossword puzzles. Recently, Mrs. Hicks began to enjoy painting in and coloring in, the adult coloring books. An interesting hobby of hers was that of collecting salt and pepper shakers; along with: anything and everything, having to do with Elvis Presley.
Lois is preceded in death by: her mother and father, James and Bernice McMullen; her husband of 26 years, Thomas W.Hicks, Jr. (they married May 22,1989); brother, Phillip “Phil” McMullen; and sister, Carolyn Peterson.
She is survived by: her sister, Ruth Ann McKennon, of Arkansas; daughter Rhonda Agler (& Fiance, Stephen), of Shreveport; daughter Melissa Bell (& Husband, Dewayne), of Shreveport; son James Norman (& wife Rebekah), of Doyline.
Also left to carry on her legacy are 14 grandchildren: Jonathon, Alexis, Michael, David, Lawrence, Stephen, Chasity, Jayden, Grayson, Zachary, Kaitlyn, Benjamin, Makayla, and Auburn; then, 4 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are: Gary Hicks, Mike Hicks, Jeff Hicks, Vance Hicks, Kaleb Jackson, and Joseph Bell.
