After marrying in 1957, Loretta was especially proud to be the wife of her beloved USAF Master Sergeant Thomas Deville, Sr. Before his retirement at Barksdale Air Force Base, Bossier City, LA, they shared 26 years of travel to multiple places as Thomas served our nation, creating a lifetime of adventures and memories as they devoted themselves to raising their growing family of six children.
Those who were blessed to know Loretta witnessed her strong faith and active involvement in her church. She was a longtime member of Christ the King Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir and participated in the Ladies Auxiliary.
Loretta was also a creative, talented and enthusiastic crafter who enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, and scrapbooking.
We should also not forget how much she cheered for her favorite hockey team, the Dallas Stars. But again, her greatest joy was her family. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
After 54 years of devoted marriage, Loretta was sadly preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas, in 2012.
She is survived by her brother, Charles LeBlanc, and her sisters, Dell Diamond and Sue Chauvin. Also left to treasure her memory are her children: Cynthia Peterson and husband, Craig, with daughter, April, and son, David (wife Kenzie); Rhonda Vieira and husband, Chris; Thomas Deville Jr., and wife, Elise, with daughter, Jessica Christner (husband Ehren), and son, Travis Deville-Mattimoe (husband Keenan); Danny Deville and wife, Regina, with daughters, Marissa Deville and Meghan Deville; Randy Deville and wife, Cynthia, with son, Sean Sorrento, and daughter, Katherine Sorrento; and Rebecca Bebow and husband, Jack, with daughters, Jennifer Bebow and Elizabeth Bebow. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Asher Christner and Adaline Christner, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family welcomes all to celebrate her life.
Her viewing will be on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 PM in the Chapel at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 601 Hwy. 80 East, Haughton, LA 71037.
Funeral services will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, with a graveside service at Hill Crest Memorial Park, 601 Hwy. 80 East, Haughton, LA 71037, where she will be laid to rest beside her dear husband.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church in Bossier City, LA.
“Strength and dignity are her clothing; and she laughs at the time to come.
She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue….
Her children rise up and call her blessed, her husband also, and he praises her.
Many a woman have done excellently, but [she] surpasses them all.”
~ Proverbs 31:25-29
