Marian Root, 58, passed away in Bossier City, LA, on Wednesday, August 4, 2010. A celebration of life service will be held at Hill Crest Funeral Home on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 10:00 am. A visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 pm.

Marian was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She has a massive amount of friends and would always give to others more than she would take. She loved to take care of her plants and go to and have garage sales. Marian was a strong willed woman who loved her friends and family and she will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Betty Ann Kees Frank, and brother, Tommy Thurman. Left to cherish her memories are daughter, Donna Sue Kees and husband Brian Hays, of Shreveport, LA, brothers, Lonnie Thurman of Haughton, LA, James Thurman and wife Florence of Hammond, LA, sister Donnie Lou Lambert of Albuquerque, NM, grandchildren, Miranda Kees of Shreveport, LA, Kayla Davis and husband Aaron of Houston, TX, and Aaron Frank of Houston, TX, and one great-grandbaby.
