She was so looking forward first and foremost coming face to face with her Lord and Saviour and the reunion with the love of her life Robert T. Chester, her daughters Edna Clarke, Billie Ruth Martin and her grandson Kevin Lane Chester. Her parents Claude and Nellie Shockley and her siblings were next in line.
Mom dedicated her life to the Lord and her family which she loved and if you spent any time with her, you knew it. She was an elegant lady who was also tough as nails; widowed young she learned to not only survive, but thrive.
She is survived by her daughter Carol Gardner (Spider), sons Robby (Jan) Bobby (Tracy), eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her friends at the Glen.
The family wishes to thank Village Healthcare at the Glen who loved her big and took such good care of her——she loved you back .
Thank you to Dr. Robert Hernandez and Michael Thomas for your care for mom and help in navigating us through the last six month of her health issues. Your kindness and compassion equals your medical knowledge. Our prayers as you continue providing care for nursing home residents.
We are also forever grateful to her niece CarolynAnn for being the most devoted, loving niece, her partner in crime, best companion and caregiver ……”she loved you more”
She left quite the blueprint of life for us….
A private graveside service will be held for her family
In lieu of flowers, give big hugs and if you desire, a charity of your choice.
She is gone, we are not… Let’s keep making her proud until we meet again.
