Nécrologie de Mark Anthony Gugliuzza
Mark Gugliuzza, 59, of Benton, Louisiana went to his eternal home with our Lord and Savior on Monday, October 11, 2021 surrounded by his loving family and friends. Mark was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on October 14, 1961. Upon graduation from Jesuit High School in Shreveport, he attended Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana. There, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in general studies. He began his career working in his family’s business, Gugliuzza Insurance Agency and later went into the pharmaceutical sales industry. He excelled in his pharmaceutical career and received many well deserved awards. Many of Mark’s colleagues have stated what a wonderful, loyal, constant, and encouraging leader he was. Mark’s love for people of all walks of life were on full display at all times. His joy for life was immeasurable. He was the world’s biggest cut up and prankster! He also had a soft, gentle and serious side. Anytime that anyone needed help or simply a shoulder to lean on, Mark was always there with open arms— and always knew the right thing to do or say. Even throughout his illness, he kept a positive attitude, never complained, and always directed others towards Jesus. His love for his family was the most important thing in Mark’s life. His children were his first priority, always. Mark loved traveling, watching LSU football, spending time on the lake, hunting, and fishing. Mark has made a major impact on so many lives and he will be dearly missed by his family, many many friends, loved ones and ALL who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father Veto Gugliuzza, mother Lynn McPherson, brother Barry Gugliuzza, uncle Jim Wharton, family Betty Crow, Ken Gillam and numerous aunts and uncles that he loved dearly.
