

Mark was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on Monday, September 29, 1952.
After high school Mark decided to serve his country and joined the United States Air Force.
After the air force he obtained his bachelor’s degree and worked various jobs. He was extremely intelligent and gifted in math and science producing multiple technical documents that were published. One such example was a proposal to construct an electrically propelled manned space vehicle in order to recover The Hubble Telescope For Repair, and or, in order to Perform Cursory Impromptu Manned Exploration Of The Moon and Mars.
Even after retiring, he continued to work and inspire others. Up until his death, he was a teacher. Teaching science in Thailand, from his home in Shreveport, via virtual webinar classes over the internet. Mr. Solis spoke several languages.
Mr. Solis was preceded in death by his dear friend, Karen Gardner. He was survived by his friends and students, and his committed Caregiver, Shatyna Dennis.
Mr. Solis will be laid to rest in a private service at Hill Crest Memorial in Haughton, Louisiana.
