Martha Jean Mills

PASADENA TX – Services for Martha Jean Mills, 75, will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Rev. Billy Pierce officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday January 10, 2014 at Hill Crest Funeral Home.

Martha Jean was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on August 6, 1938 and passed away peacefully at her home in Pasadena, Texas on January 5, 2014. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had a warming smile and loved life to the fullest. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence C. Beard and Evvie Saunders Beard; husband, Hugh E. Mills; son, Kyle R. Mills and brothers, Weyman and Charles Beard.

Left to cherish her sweet memory are sons, Lawrence “Chip” Mills and wife Sheila, Joel "Joey" Mills; grandchildren, Amanda Campbell and husband Billy, Justin Mills and wife Jorden; great- grandchildren, Preston, Kyler, Gibson and Jackson; brothers, James Beard and wife Margaret, Ronnie Beard and wife Ann, Robert Beard and wife Virginia; sister, Dot Libertore. Martha Jean also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Honoring Martha Jean as pallbearers will be, Justin Mills, Vincent Beard, Robbie Beard, Clay Beard, Josh Hoover and Brad Morgan.
