A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mary Sue Franks and her beloved husband, Jerry William Franks, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at First Baptist Church of Haughton, officiated by Dr. Gevan Spinney.

Mary Sue was born on June 27, 1953, in Monroe, AR to parents, Oliver “Buck” and Laura F. Platt and left this world behind on January 11, 2020. She and her husband, Jerry, were taken up to Heaven in a chariot of wind.

Mary Sue is survived by her children, Jay Franks and wife Janet and Patsy Foy and husband Paul; adopted children, Michael Franks and Melinda Lawrence and husband Phillip; grandchildren, Micayla Coco, Jakob Franks, Jace Franks and Keira Foy; parents, Buck and Ellen Platt; brother, Tommy Platt and wife Betty; sister, Kathy Platt, sister-in-law, Pamela Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
