

SHREVPORT, LA – Services for Mildred Doris Ruble, 79, will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Steve Robinson officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park.
Mildred was born on May 21, 1933 in Christoval, Texas to the parents of K.C. Collier and Blanche Collier. She was called to be with the Lord on February 3, 2013 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mildred will be remembered for her great love, generosity, and kindness to family and friends. She was a long-time resident of Shreveport and retired from the Civil Service working at Barksdale AFB in the Comptroller’s Office. Mildred was honored as a past Worthy Matron for Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 50 years, James Allen Ruble; son, Richard Alan Ruble; sisters, Janie Hopfinger and Julia Ann Collier, and a brother, Tommie Collier.
Mildred is survived by sons, James Michael Ruble, Robert Blake Ruble and wife Mary Louise; a daughter, June Robinson and husband Tim; one brother, K.C. Collier Jr. and wife Jo Marie; grandchildren, Kristin, Sarah and husband Kyle Stephens, Patrick, and Elizabeth, one great grandchild Kyle Jr. and her many friends.
Honoring Mildred as pallbearers will be: Dennis Clark, Stuart Haire, Tim Robinson, Matt Robinson and Rob Stewart.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all who showed kind and loving care to Mildred, including Dr. Roan Flenniken, Dr. Charles Knight, and Dr. Robert Martin. Special and loving gratitude to Adonna Stewart and her family for their love, care, compassion, and friendship they showed to Mildred. She always spoke highly of each and every one of you and was proud and blessed to know you all.
