Funeral services will be held for Minnie L. Sims at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Funeral Home. Entombment will be follow at Hill Crest Mausoleum.
Minnie was born on January 7, 1920 in Winona, MS and passed away on November 11, 2011 in Bossier City, LA. She was a member of Airline Baptist Church. Minnie was a longtime business woman in the Bossier/Shreveport area. She was the owner of Mar-Lea’s Boutique.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, F.L. Sims.
Minnie is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Peel and husband Mark of Bossier City, LA; three grandchildren, Lt. Col. Jody Addison and wife Michelle, Chad Addison and wife Rhonda, Shawna Millen and husband Matt; and four great grandchildren.
