

Funeral services for Pauline “Nell” Ross will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel, with Pastors Gary Weaber and Kevin Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving visitors from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday January 25, 2012 at Hill Crest Funeral Home.
Pauline was born in Nashville Arkansas on August 31, 1925. She went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2012 in Bossier City. While living in Nashville, she met and married her childhood sweet heart, Joe G. Ross. Following Joe’s retirement from the Air Force they settled in Haughton in 1986. She was a member of Open Door Bible Church, a loving wife, mother, homemaker and Grandmother, whose job in life was the tender loving care of her family. Her door was always open to their many friends.
She was preceeded in death by her parents Ezra and Corrine Orr; her loving husband of 64 years Joe Garner Ross; her beloved daughter-in-law Cynthia Ann Ross; sisters, Vergie Crannell and Christine Benson.
Nell is survived by sons; Larry Ross Sr. of Benton, and Robert “Bob” Ross and wife Melanie of Bossier City; daughters, Martha Ward and husband Ted of Haughton, Nancy Elkins and husband Boyce of Haughton; sisters - in - laws, Marie Thornton and husband Junior. and Dorthy Hill; grandchildren, David Webre and wife Karen, Ted Ward Jr. and wife Breah, Larry Ross Jr.and wife Stacy, Paula Jo Davis and husband Derrek, Kathy A. Moore, Kelcie Ross, and Kevin Pohle. Pauline leaves behind 14 great grandchildren to cherish her memory, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Pall bearers will be David Webre, Ted Ward Jr. Larry Ross Jr. Derrek Davis, Ken Chaffin and Darrell Guillory.
The family would like to give special thanks to doctors Paul Cole, Dianna and Kennedy Lim, and Tasha Keith as well as the whole nursing staff of 3 west Willis Knighton hospital of Bossier City.
