Robert Cheatwood, Sr. “Beloved Husband” to wife Lynn. “Dad” to : Robert Lee (Deceased), Robert, Jr. and wife Taylor, Brandy King and husband James, Benjamin and wife Sara, Joshua and wife Haley. “Pappy” to Trinton, Amelia, Sophia, Astin, Aubrey, Carleigh, Lucas, Benjamin, Jr., and “Coach” to so many others. Avid Hunter and Fisherman.

Loved the Lord; Loved his Family. Loved the outdoors. He helped me to become strong, courageous, and to trust God every minute of every day. He taught our children growing up to follow the Lord; to work hard; to hunt; fish; garden; mechanic, etc., so that they could always provide for their families and for generations to come.

Rest and sleep now baby. The Lord has you and always did. His mercy and his grace. “He left the 99, for you”.

A Special message to all reading this:

Pray without ceasing, Love the Lord, Love your husband, your wife, your children. Love others, unconditionally, with mercy and grace for you never know when you, or they, will be called home.

Robert’s most common sayings:

1. A country boy can survive.

2. A man ain’t no better than his word.

3. Sun up to Sun down, you need to be working.

4. Never Mess with a man’s family, money or job.

5. Aim small – miss small, lock and loaded.

6. As a coach: Eye-to-ball; ball-to-bat; contact.

7. If you ain’t catching fish, it’s because you ain’t holdin’ your mouth right!

Donations in Robert’s honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or Shriners Children’s Hospital.

A visitation for Robert will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hill Crest Memorial, Haughton, Louisiana. The funeral is Friday, January 26, 2024 at 10:00 AM, Haughton, Louisiana; followed with interment 11:30 AM at Springhill Cemetery, Ringgold, Louisiana.
