A Celebration of Life service will be held for Robert S. Fondren, age 71, on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 1:00pm at Central Assembly of God with Pastor Ken Richmond officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at Central Assembly of God Chapel on Friday from 5:00pm until 7:00pm.
Mr. Fondren was born May 16, 1947 in Steele, MO and went home to be with the Lord on August 21, 2018 in Bossier City, LA. Bobby was a man of faith and a follower of Christ; these traits were very instrumental in his life and were portrayed by his unbounded devotion as a member of Central Assembly of God. He served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He was a Freemason and a former member of the Elks Club Lodge #122. Bobby’s humor and wit always filled the room with laughter; creating unforgettable memories that will be cherished forever. To know him, was to love him.
Left behind to cherish his memories, will be his loving wife of 35 years, Karen Sipe Fondren of Haughton; son, Brian Phillips of Arkansas; daughters, Rebecca Evans of Haughton and Kayla Strange of Bossier City; sisters, Shirley Perry of Marion and Janie Pearson of Bossier City; brothers, James Terry Fondren of Blanchard and Ivory Eugene Fondren of Hot Springs Village, AR; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivory and Lois Ausburn Fondren, his sister, JoAnn Tinney and his granddaughter, Caci Cavalier.
Honoring Bobby as pallbearers will be Stacy Strange, Terry Fondren, Pat Arnold, Dale Early, JT Rankin and Jacob Jones.
