T was born on April 6, 1946 in Shreveport, Louisiana and died on April 17, 2025 in Minden, Louisiana. He was raised by his loving grandfather, Otis Perkins.

He was drafted on July 8, 1968 and served faithfully during the Vietnam War with the 82nd Airborne Division, where he was wounded in combat.
