Roger F. Clement was born on April 18, 1946 in Olean, NY to Donald and Marjorie Clement and he passed away on September 12, 2014.
A gathering of friends and family will be held for Roger on Monday, September 15, 2014 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Johnny’s Pizza in Haughton.
Roger proudly served and retired after 21 years in the United States Air Force and he was a Vietnam Veteran. Roger loved anything to do with being outdoors, from hunting, fishing, or just feeding the birds and squirrels in the backyard. He also loved “gadgets” and computers.
He was Popaw and Pop Pop to his beloved grandchildren, who were the light of his existence. They made him happy when he was sad, took away his pain, even if it was just for a short while. They were the driving force in his many recoveries during the past 18 years. He loved his family and friends to no end.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Judy Clement; daughters Gina MacFarlane and husband Bruce and Malissa Ehmcke and husband Mike, grandchildren Sydney and Ian MacFarlane and Zoe Ehmcke, siblings Vonnie Schuyler and husband William, Donna Slocum and husband David and Tom Clement and wife Pam, nieces and nephews Belinda, Todd and Phillip Schuyler, Kim and Krista Slocum, Carrie, Casey, and Corey Clement and their mother Denise, Jessie Sheppard, Nicki Neuhaus and Ryan Neuhaus as well as many other loved ones.
Thank you to the many Doctors, Nurses, and staff who have cared for Roger over the years, and helped unravel the many “medical mysteries” that Roger had the strength to endure time and again. Thank you to the caring ICU team at Promises Hospital in Bossier that gave loving care and compassion to Roger and Judy in his final days.
Condolences may be shared with the family and the guestbook may be signed at www.hillcrestmemorialfh.com
You were loved, you ARE loved, and you will ALWAYS be loved. Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean we’ll miss you until we meet again.
