Ronald Lee Martindale

Bossier City, LA

A gathering will be held in honor of Ronny Martindale on Friday, January 28, 2011 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Hill Crest Funeral Home. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Tucson, Arizonia.

Ronny was born in Clarinda, IA on June 14, 1941 and passed from the life on January 26, 2011 in Shreveport, LA. He was a former Golden Gloves Champion, boxing for Irish McNeil. He worked as a carpenter his entire life.

Ronny was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Helen Martindale, son, James Paul, sister, Lois Martindale and nephew, Kenny Blackwell.

He is survived by his son, Mike Martindale and wife Dena, daughter, Candy Cash and husband Todd, son, Steven Martindale and partner Vincent Monaco, step-son, Danny Davis, sister, Mary Ann Josting and husband Phil and sister, Dee Camp. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Casey, Micah, Emily, Ethan, Kristin, Trey, Nicholas, Tristan, numerous nephews, and other family members. He also held very dear Ruth "Toots" Martindale and Susann Stovall.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the kind doctors and nurses at LSUHSC Emergency Room and Bossier City EMS personnel for their care, compassion and a very special thanks to Phil and Mary Ann Josting for their love going above and beyond in their care of Ronny.
