SHREVEPORT, LA – Rosamond E. Worth Benson, age 94 of Shreveport, LA passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2015. Visitation will be held at Hill Crest Funeral Home in Haughton, LA on Tuesday, August 25th, 2015 from 6 to 8 PM. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 26th, 2015 at 11 AM at Hill Crest Memorial Park in Haughton, LA.
She was born in Des Moines, IA on June 19, 1921. She was married to TSGT/USAF DeeWight Benson in January of 1942. Rosamond had a passion for roller skating.
She is preceded in death by her husband, DeeWight Benson; one son, Dee Benson; and one grandson, Paul Procopio.
Rosamond is survived by her children, Greta Procopio, Cynthia Drott and husband Randy, Linda Morgan and husband Jerry, and Muriel Reynolds; grandchildren Joey, Greta, Michael, Dwight, DeWayne, Linda Marie, Shelly, Jennifer, and Chandra. The family would also like to express a special thanks to Rocky Reynolds. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
