Ann Huff, 87, of Bossier City, LA, passed away on September 15, 2023. She was born on January 23, 1936, in Houston, TX, to the late RD and Gertrude Hudson.
Ann, also known as Ruby Anita Huff or Mamaw/Great-Mamaw, was a woman of fierce independence and a deep love for her home state of Texas, despite residing in Louisiana for most of her adult life. She had a
passion for travel and spent many of her early years exploring new places with her ever-growing family. Ann especially enjoyed camping with her children when they were younger and attending musicals and theatre performances. In her later years, she found joy in family events, performances, and cheering on her beloved Texas teams. She had a special affection for Tom Hanks, whom she lovingly referred to as "my boyfriend."
Described as stubborn to a fault, Ann was adored by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, even when she left them exasperated. Her loss will undoubtedly leave a void in the lives of all who knew her.
Ann is survived by her eldest daughter, Sandra Frasier; youngest daughter, Renee Nicholson; youngest son, Franklin Huff, and his wife Crystal; daughter-in-law, Alice Huff; 12 grandchildren, along with their 5
grandchildren-in-laws; and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Judy Hudson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, RD and Gertrude Hudson; her eldest son, Rocky Huff; her
grandson, Zachary Huff; her brothers, Bobby Hudson and Danny Hudson; her sister, Edna "Dee Dee" Cerda; and son-in-law, Danny Frasier.
Ann attended Reagan High School in Houston, Texas. She dedicated her career to hospital billing at LSU,
Royale Airlines, and Gym Dandy. In her free time, Ann indulged in her hobbies, which included cheering for the Texas Rangers Baseball team, Dallas Cowboys, and Houston Texans. She also enjoyed spending time on Facebook, traveling when she was younger, and attending her children's and grandchildren's numerous events and activities.
The family will be holding a private gathering at a later date to honor Ann's life and legacy.
Please join us in remembering and celebrating the life of Ann Huff. She will be deeply missed, and the world will feel incomplete without her presence.
