Sherrell Harris Moore

Haughton, LA- Services celebrating the life of Sherrell Harris Moore, 87, will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Hill Crest Funeral Home, 601 Hwy 80, Haughton, LA . Pastor Jeff McKneely of Amite, LA. will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Old Sarepta Cemetery in Webster Parish. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home Saturday.

Sherrell passed away on August 23, 2016, at her home in Haughton, LA. She was a member of Christie's Chapel Methodist Church in Magnolia, AR. and enjoyed bird watching, fishing and most of all, her dearest companion, "Lady".

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Dewitt and Ellon Harris; her two sisters, Jackie Foster and Wanda Williams and her husband W.E. “Gene” Moore. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Renee Miller and husband Tom of Brentwood, CA; her son Howard Moore and wife Judy of Haughton, LA; and sister, Jimmie Summers and husband Kenny of Salina, OK. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kevin Miller and wife Casey of Menlo Park, CA, Chris Miller of Washington D.C., Ray Moore and wife Katie of Haughton, LA, Haley Patrick and husband Sam of Plaquemine, LA, and Kyle Moore of California; and 6 great-grandchildren, Christopher and Matthew Miller, Kaitlyn Nunnery, Hallie Rae Moore, Pressley and Sammy Patrick; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Kevin Miller, Chris Miller, Ray Moore, Sam Patrick, Ben Dance, and Bruce Williams.
