Shirley was a devoted Christian woman with tremendous faith. She had a way of touching the hearts of everyone she met. She was a loving mother, “Honey” and grandmother who adored her family and cat Bella. Shirley lived in Bossier City after retiring as District Manager with Avon products for many years. She had a true passion for her career, which allowed her the opportunity to experience Hong Kong, Spain, and Germany. After retiring, she enjoyed traveling, shopping, and keeping her great grandbabies.
Shirley never met a stranger and has been such an inspiration to many. Although we will never fill the void in our hearts, we know she is in a better place. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her two sons, Steven Curtis and wife Karen and Greg Curtis and wife Debbie; three granddaughters, Kristen Hedrick, Melanie Markland and Erin Curtis; one grandson, Joey Henderson; four great grandchildren, Dylan Hedrick, Avery Hedrick, Olivia Fagan and Joshua Henderson; sister, Sue Jordan and husband Paul; brother, Mickey Parkerson as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Luther Parkerson and Gilger Parkerson and sister-in-law, Sandy Parkerson.
