Steven Patrick Randol, 69, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on September 2nd, 2025. He was born on April 13th, 1956, in Birmingham, Alabama, and lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to his family and friends.
Steve is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Randol; his four children, Dustin Randol (Haley), Eric Randol (Sofia), Dylan Randol, and Tiffany Doyle; and his sister, Patti Cogburn. He was the proud grandfather, known affectionately as “Gaga” to Caroline, Patrick, and Skylar, who brought immense joy to his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles “Pat” and Thelma McGriff Randol, and his brothers, Brian and David Randol. Steve’s warmth and generosity also touched numerous extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory deeply.
A man of passion and enthusiasm, Steve loved sports, especially cheering on Auburn football and the New Orleans Saints. He also found freedom and joy in racing and restoring cars. Whether competing with his 1978 Corvette in SCCA events, driving his mini stock at Boothill Motor Speedway, fishing off shore in his center console, or simply cruising the streets in his classic ’55 Chevy Bel Air. For Steve, cars weren’t just machines, they were adventure, connection, and celebration. And if you’ve ever enjoyed a pie from Johnny’s Pizza, you’ve unknowingly shared in a slice of his spirit.
More than anything, Steve was devoted to his family. He took pride in his children and grandchildren, encouraging their dreams, supporting their goals, and celebrating their milestones. His sense of humor, generosity, and steadfast love will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
A funeral service to honor Steve’s life will be held on September 10th, 2025, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Blanchard, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate the life of a remarkable man whose legacy of love, loyalty, and laughter will endure.
Steve will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His spirit lives on in the roar of a game-day crowd, the sound of an engine, and the love of those he leaves behind.
