Sue Annette Snell

Sue was born at Barksdale AFB, LA on June 18, 1953. She was a longtime member of Christ The King Catholic Church. She loved people and all those around her. Her pride and joy were her two children and three grandchildren. She enjoyed having the flexibility of staying at home or help with the bookkeeping or being the "boss" at the Snell's family glass business. She was a caregiver for her children and later in life, her mother. She was genuine, down to earth, and had unconditional love for all people. Not only did she take good care of her own kids, she was a good support for their friends. She also enjoyed sewing, crafting, and gatherings with family and friends. What a spark she was!

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ethel and Owen Clingan; parents, Faye and Raymond Urban; sister, Mary Johnette Parker; and in-laws, Paul and Margaret Snell.

Sue is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 53 years, Kerry Snell; daughter, Paula Rabon and husband Kevin; son, Kevin Snell and wife Holly; grandchildren, Colby J. Snell, Emeri Hughes, Keller Rabon, Steven Snell and wife Susan; brothers, Raymond James "Buddy" Urban and wife SuShan; and Leo Urban and wife Emy, as well as many nieces, nephews, and special friends including, Katie McKenzie, Becky Cranford, Mary Ann Lopez, and Gail Laurents.

A visitation for Sue will be held Monday, August 5, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel, 601 Hwy 80, Haughton, Louisiana 71037, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am.

Pallbearers will be Tom Salzer, Ryan Batts, Chris Smith, B.J. Ray, Malcolm McKenzie and Robert McMillan. Honorary pallbearers will be Colby Snell, Keller Rabon, Johnny Parker and Brandon Smith.

Memorial contributions may be made to an animal rescue of your choice. Sue loved her shop cats, and fur babies at home.
