

Was born March 3, 1954 in Zwolle, La and passed away from a sudden heart attack on February, 16, 2014 at the age of 59 doing what he loved, playing golf with his son on a beautiful day, what a blessing. Visitation will be held at Airline Baptist Church on February 18, 2014 from 6-8 pm. A service lead by Buddy Puryear will be held on Wednesday, February 19 at 11:00 to celebrate his life.
Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Loretta Lewing Lewis. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Judy Conrad Doty and six children. Annette Stinson Taylor and husband Kevin, Angel Stinson, Georgiana Stinson Tarantino and husband Brandon, Frances Doty Small and husband Major Patrick Small, Terry Lee Doty, Jr and wife Stacey, Timothy L. Doty, His father Buddy Lewis, sister-in-law Jayne Conrad, and sisters Debbie Ryan, Pam Calhoun Penny Kyle and Robin Trahan. He is also survived by his adoring grandchildren, Britlyn, Danielle, Ashdon, Kara, Jackson, Abram, Jon David, Emma and Carson. and a great-grandchild Lily, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws and family friends. He is also survived by his yorkies and constant companions, "Prissy" and "Lil Man" Pallbearers will be Timothy Doty, Kevin Taylor, Brandon Tarantino, Major Patrick Small, Ashdon Taylor and Marty Calhoun.
Honorary pallbearers are Terry L. Doty, Jr., Richard Ryan.
Terry was a graduate of Southwood High School and started his life as an entrepreneur at the age of 20, owning and running three businesses. He had a lengthy career in management with Prudential and as a real estate investor before starting the ongoing business of TJ's Mighty Movers with his son. He retired four years ago due to health reasons. He was an active member of AIrline Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his family most, and also enjoyed camping, canoeing, snow-skiing and golf. Terry had a heart so big he could break out in tears over a commercial. Anyone that knew him well, knew his off-limit topics of discussion that included politics, religion and football.
The family would like to thank Dr. Norwood for his compassion and efforts to save Terry. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Children's Building Fund at Airline Baptist Church.
