BOSSIER CITY, LA – Services to honor the life of Thomas Yale “Mac” McManus will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, followed by interment in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 7-8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
Born in Knoxville, TN, Mac enlisted in the United States Air Force in October, 1959. He was stationed at Elmendorf A.F.B., Clark A.F.B., and Wake Island. In all, he was sent to eleven different Air Force bases and retired in November, 1981, at Barksdale A.F.B. in Louisiana. He began work as a Lab Tech at several Shreveport hospitals as well as Christus Health in Coushatta, LA.
Mac is preceded in death by his father, mother, sister, brother, son, step-son, and great-grandparents. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Marie McManus; children, Gail, Chuck, and Patricie McManus; step-children, Jerry, Michelle, and Jeremy Lear; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren on both sides of the family.
