Deputy Timothy David Jordan, 40, was born on December 13, 1985 in DeVille, Louisiana to William Jr. and Cheri Jordan. His end of watch came far too soon on January 21, 2026 in Benton, Louisiana while on duty as a proud officer with the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office. A memorial service in his honor will be held at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Haughton, 105 E. Washington Ave., on Saturday, January 31, 2026, with a visitation beginning at 11:00 am until service time. The service will be officiated by Chaplain Jay Valentine.
After graduating the Police Academy on November 15, 2018, Tim served the Alexandria Police Department for the first three years of his law enforcement career. He continued in patrol when he moved to Bossier in 2021 until moving to motors last year where his passion for riding his police bike and sharing it at community events grew. Wearing the badge each day was an honor to Tim that he never took for granted. He was grateful for the opportunity to protect and serve and thankful for the friendships he developed along the way.
In life, Tim gave everything he had to everyone around him. He was a loving husband, dedicated father, devoted son, and selfless friend to all. When he wasn’t serving his community or working side jobs, you could find him on the water fishing, hiking in the woods with his kids, cooking out for anyone who liked good food, attending concerts with his wife, or passionately cheering for the LSU Tigers. As an organ donor, his selflessness continued even after his passing.
Tim will be forever remembered by his wife of 12 years, Jeri Lynn Jordan; children, Danity Clark and Landen Jordan; parents, William and Cheri Jordan; siblings, Cody Jordan (Faithe), Kaci Lavespere (Dallas), Hunter Jordan (Kaylee), and Heather Silva; grandfather, William Jordan, Sr.; and countless extended family members and friends.
He was greeted in Heaven by his paternal grandmother, Sharna Faye Jordan; maternal grandparents Newton Paul, Jr. and Glenda Faye Paul; and brother Shane Jordan.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Tim’s brothers and sisters in blue at the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Bossier Parish Community, and all law enforcement agencies who have shown tremendous support during this unimaginable time. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to “The Deputy Tim Jordan Memorial Fund” at any Citizens Bank & Trust Company location or to the charity of your choice in honor of Tim.
