

Ronald “Todd” Jorstad, 54, was called on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from this Heavenly earth way too soon, following a courageous battle with cancer, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was born on Saturday, July 18, 1970, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Todd enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son Seth. He loved watching his children Reagan and Seth play baseball and softball. He enlisted in the US Marine Corps and served on the Silent Drill Team. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Haughton, where he loved worshiping Christ with his family and friends. Todd had such an outgoing spirit and a love for life. He was always smiling and cutting up. Todd has touched so many lives, and his presence will forever be missed.
Todd was preceded in passing by his father Ronny “Slim” Jorstad; one nephew Brandon Goyne; maternal grandparents: Vivian and Elmo Chapman; paternal grandparents: Clarence and Thelma Hester.
Left to cherish Todd’s wonderful memory will be his beloved wife Heather Stetson Jorstad; daughter Reagan ("Goose"); son Seth ("Poo"); mother, Cookie Jorstad; two sisters: Debbie Goyne and husband Scotty, Julie Gay; mother-in-law Carol Greber; sister-in-law Courtney English and husband James Shannon; nieces: Morgan (“Fluffy”), Alexandra ("Delhi"), Krystyn ("Cakes"); nephews: Wyatt (“WE”), Derek, Parker; father-in-law Dale Stetson and wife Ellen; along with many extended family members and a countless number of wonderful friends.
The family will be receiving guests for visitation on Monday, April 28, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Haughton, 105 E Washington Avenue, Haughton, Louisiana 71037.
There will be a Celebration of a Life for Todd, at 3:00 pm, Monday, April 28, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Haughton, with Dr. Gevan Spinney officiating. Interment will follow on the grounds of Pleasant Grove Cemetery, 1957 Pleasant Road, Ringgold, Louisiana, 71068.
Honoring Todd as pallbearers will be Scotty Goyne, Derek Goyne, Shannon English, Terry Plant, Parker Gay, and Michael Barrett.
The family would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to Ochsner, Willis Knighton North, Willis Knighton Rehab, Intensive Specialty Hospital, Dr. Wang, Dr. Veluvolu, Dr. Guthikonda and all the nurses and staff for the care, friendships built, compassion, and prayers during Todd’s greatest hours of need. We would like to express a special thank you to our church family and the Haughton community for all their love, support, condolences, prayer, and friendships through the years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Brandon Goyne Foundation.
