Mom is survived by her children Linda LaDart, Bobby Wright (Carolyn), Jack Wright (Sarah), Freddie Wright (Georgie), Tammie Holmes (Paul), and Renee Hernandez (Tony); 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren who brought her so much joy over the years. She is also survived by her two sisters, Joye Moore (W.E.) and Audrey Clark and two sisters-in-law, Mary Alice Worrell (Mack) and Martha Huff (James).
She is preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Fred C. Wright; her parents; two grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers.
She was born on January 25, 1925 in Hebert, Louisiana to Edgar and Arzilla Howard. She grew up on Boeuf River during the Great Depression. On December 1, 1942, she married Fred C. Wright after he stole her heart in the drug store she worked in as a young woman. They were happily married for 59 years before Daddy went in to be with the Lord. His bride joined him at Heaven's pearly gates on February 23, 2021. Mom's purpose in life was to be a loving wife, mom, mammaw and great mammaw. She had lifelong friends and sweet memories with them.
Mom was well known for her delicious big meals and her kitchen was always open to family and friends. No one left her kitchen hungry, without a second helping and several glasses of ice tea.
Mom lived a wonderful life. She and dad loved to fish and spent many days on Lake Bistineau bringing home a nice catch for their fish fries to anyone who came to their home.
She and Dad were charter members of Koran Baptist Church of Haughton, LA where they served the Lord in anyway the Lord would use their talents. Their lives were centered around Christ, church and family.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Sean LaDart, Cody Williams, Mike Anthony, Kemp Wright, Brandon Holmes and Colby Holmes.
The family would like to thank their sister, Linda who provided Mom with all her needs during her remaining years. Mom was able to lead an independent life, as she so desired with Linda's care.
Our family takes great comfort knowing the joy that mom has now reunited with our dad and at the feet of her Savior. She will be missed beyond words but we are thankful for the 96 incredible years we were blessed with her love.
