Wadene Moseley Jordan, born Vivian, LA 9/15/36, stepped into Heaven into the welcoming arms of Jesus on Saturday, April 18, after a valiant battle with multiple myloma. There to greet her was her husband, R. Russell (PePaw) Jordan, parents Wade and Lilian Moseley, parents-in-law Forrest and Dorothy Jordan, sister and brother-in-law Dale and Myrtis Borne, best friends Milton and Joanne Almond and countless others that she loved so dearly. Wadene was like a diamond, her life sparkling with many facets. She worked for the City of Bossier for 48 years, serving under 6 mayors before retiring as Supervisor of the Utilities Billing Department. In that capacity, many times she met a needy request through her own finances and by calling on the assistance of willing friends. She was the consummate professional, always organized, eager to learn and to teach others, caring for her employees as she served the citizens of Bossier. Yet, she had a child-like quality, an innocence to the things of the world that made her so endearing. She was a caregiver to her parents and her in-laws. an overseer to her brothers, a babysitter to her grandchildren, and a loving friend at all times. Her life touched so many, it would be impossible to name them all, but she loved each and every one to the fullest. We celebrate the absolute joy she feels now in the presence of the Lord, but we shall greatly miss her. Left to celebrate her life and tell her stories are her daughters, Trisha Lynn Brown (Kenneth) and Donna Kaye Day (Danny). Grandchildren Chad Darnell (Angie), Crissy Burchett (Edward), Chris Brown, TJ Brown (Jessie) Megan Brown and Kelly Oswald (Jason). Great Grandchildren: Dayton Grout, Kaylen Ezernack, Ridge Burchett, Kate Burchett, Heather Oswald, Haley Oswald and Landry Darnell. Brothers: Danny Moseley (Ruth) and Wayne Moseley (Carolyn) and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, April 20 from 6-8pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home in Haughton. Services will be Tuesday, April 21, at 2:30 p.m. Officiating will be Phillip Deas, Pastor of Northpoint Community Church, and Sam Carr, Pastor of Word of Life. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park.
