
William Edward Faulkner, 77, of Haughton, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. Ed, as he was known, was born on June 28, 1947, in Houston, Texas. He was loved and raised by Elwood Faulkner and Hazel Bernice Faulkner.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elwood Faulkner and Hazel Bernice Faulkner; mother-in-law, Gwendolyn Setter, and father,-in-law David Setter.
Ed is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela Faulkner; his son, Shane Faulkner and fiancée, Christina McKoin; his sister-in-law, Pip Yule and husband, Michael; his niece, Michele Greenwood and husband, Simon; and his nephew, Robin Yule.
He proudly served two years as an Army medic during the Vietnam War. Ed started as a lineman and advanced through his profession to become a Meter Sales and Support Specialist. He even made it to spring training as a pitcher for the New York Yankees.
He was a joker but a phenomenal dad, husband, and co-worker. He always went out of his way to make sure Pam and Shane were cared for, and he was passionate about his customers and co-workers. Ed loved baseball, especially watching the Houston Astros and Boston Red Sox, coaching little league, and playing baseball in his youth. He also enjoyed gardening with Pam as well as cooking and grilling for family and friends. He was known as "The Grill Master." Ed was a technology enthusiast and loved animals, taking joy in rescuing them while on his trips.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Christus Highland ICU staff, Christus Bossier ER staff, Cleve Cyrus and Sherrie Cyrus, Gina and Doug Taylor, Debbie Turner, Raeann Miller, Dusty Jenkins, and Stuart Jenkins.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Bellevue Union Church, 199 Bodcau Dam Rd, Haughton, Louisiana 71037.
