Tony was born on March 5, 1947 in Knoxville, TN. After school, he proudly began to serve his country. He invested 24 years helping to ensure the safety and security of his family and friends. While active he received several medals and awards including: a meritorious service medal, an Air Force commendation medal, an Air Force good conduct medal, an Airforce outstanding unit award, a national defense service medal, an Air Force overseas short tour ribbon, an Air Force longevity service award ribbon, an NCO professional military graduate ribbon and an Air Force training ribbon. His service didn’t stop there though; after his retirement he continued as a civil servant at Precision Equipment Measurement Labs, testing and ensuring proper operation of some of the high tech tools used by our military.
Other than his family, some of Tony’s loves included his furry friends Ebony, Taco and Annie, league bowling, woodworking, fishing, playing cards and darts with his fellow veterans and friends, Football (an absolute fanatic), NASCAR (First the Intimidator then Jeff Gordon) and last but certainly NOT least: French Fries. Mr. Foust traded the “Golden Arches” for a “drive-thru” the pearly gates on May 18, 2017.
Preceding Tony in death is his mother, Selma Lucille Foust Ledford and step-father Claude Ivan Ledford (“Pops”). Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Dorie Ann Vigil Foust, step-daughter Angelique Kendrick with husband Scott, step-son Elvis Robinson III with wife Ginny, step-son Joseph Robinson, grandchildren Dylan Robinson, Brynlee Robinson, Joseph Robinson Jr., Mason Robinson and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation be made to The Disabled Veterans of America in his honor. https://www.dav.org/
